Meet the Burst team!
Erik Freed, Distinguished Software Developer Engineer
Erik has worked on Burst for 9 years. He recently fled the Bay Area in favor of the Pacific Northwest where he, his wife Debbie, and two goldendoodles, Winnie and Tatia, split their time between Portland, Oregon and Orcas Island, Washington. In his spare time, Erik enjoys listening and playing jazz music, dabbling in welded sculptures, and homesteading.
Brian Anderson, Senior Principal Software Development Engineer
Brian has worked on Burst for 8 years with over 30 years of experience leading teams developing complex distributed systems. He lives in Oakland, California with his partner. In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time outdoors swimming, camping, skiing, cycling and more. He also enjoys woodworking and metalworking. Brian has an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. in computer science from NYU.
Clay Jensen-Reimann, Sr Software Development Engineer
Clay has worked on Burst for the past 4 years. Clay lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife and young son. His duties as a new dad and a new homeowner have subsumed his former hobbies. Clay graduated from Michigan State University with dual degrees in Computer Science and Spanish. While studying Spanish in college, Clay hiked the Camino de Santiago trail, which is a 550 mile hike from the Spanish Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela in western Spain.
The team would also like to recognize the contributions of a few key figures from the past:
- Tim Tully
- David Latham
- Jeff Althoff
- Peter Farago
- Brad Jones
- Dhaivat Deepak Shah
Burst would not be what it is today without their belief and hard work.
